ADE: Good Night at the Gashouder
Gashouder at Westergas in Amsterdam, The Netherlands
We created Good Night, a six-minute short film projected on the facade of the Gashouder at Westergasterrein in Amsterdam. The site-specific work measured six meters high and twenty meters wide. Good Night is part of AFTERimage, our ongoing series exploring memory, perception, and digital transformation through a custom AI model trained on our own visual archive.
The film follows one person on a night out during ADE. What starts as going out turns into an adventure, loosely inspired by Alice in Wonderland. ADE nightlife has that same quality: you go in for one thing and end up somewhere you didn't plan.
Good Night was presented at ADE Lab Village Westergas, and was part of the official art program of Amsterdam Dance Event. The program also featured work by Cris Mollee, Wes Boersen, and Heleen Blanken & Daniel de Bruin. The projection ran daily throughout the festival at night. ADE is the world's largest electronic music festival and conference, drawing close to half a million visitors to Amsterdam each October across five days of music, industry events, and cultural programming.
