Abstract on paper
Abstract on Paper is a series of works on paper exploring imagined experiences through abstraction. The scenes sit somewhere between the surreal and the everyday — vivid, occasionally bizarre and always open to interpretation. By leaving the depicted situations deliberately unresolved we invite the viewer to complete the image on their own terms.
The works draw on a range of materials: acrylic paint, oil pastels, pencils, inks and acrylic markers. The variety is intentional. Each medium adds its own texture and weight to scenes that never quite existed but feel immediately familiar.
